Yoga Philosophy 101

BEYOND THE BENEFITS of improved health and mindfulness that asana yoga offers, the philosophy of yoga teaches us how to dispel our own ignorance (avidya) of who we are (svarupe) and come to know our purpose of in life (dharma), and in doing so, remove the obstacles (klesha) that cause suffering and come to rest in deepest connection with the world (samadhi).

A Refresher for Certified Teachers or an Intro for Students

IN THIS SERIES OF  lectures and open discussions we will look at the philosophy of yoga in practical terms as a method to remove suffering from our life and promote deeper connection with the world around us.

THIS COURSE is suited for beginners and advanced practitioners alike.

OVER THE COURSE OF 20 HOURS  this course will cover:

  • Yoga Psychology
  • Bhagavad Gita
  • Yoga Sutras
  • Ethics & Modern Yoga
  • Successful completion of this program will be rewarded with a  Certificate of Completion, the hours of which are eligible for CEU’s with the Canadian Yoga Alliance.
